With all of the artists I have at home I knew that a "how to draw" activity would be a hit.
Little Dragon is a dog lover so I knew he would enjoy this activity.
Doll Dragon just loves to draw so I knew she would enjoy this activity.
I set up the white board so all the dragons could see the instructions clearly.

We drew two different dogs, 1 sitting, 1 laying down.
There were only 4 steps to the first dog
There were only 4 steps to the first dog
These steps were provided in the original Animal Antics lesson plan I found on education.com.
I noticed The Dragons did not follow the steps as well for this dog. We did the steps together but they all ended up with something different then what was on the board. There was some reason behind it. Doll Dragon said she wanted to draw a husky so hers was different, Little Dragon wanted his dog to be standing so his was different.
There was a little handwriting practice with the drawing too.
Even though all ended up different The Dragons still wanted to go through the steps together and everyone was very happy with their dogs. :)
I don't remember where I learned to draw this dog by steps but remember it being doodled on my moms cook book when I was little.
This dog was the favorite. I think it was easier to follow the steps with simple shapes.
