Christmas Tic-Tac-Toe

This is a fun easy game to play with the kids.   I love this version because it is so big, it doesn't waste paper, it's quick, it's easy to store, and easy to clean up.  The rules are standard tic-tac-toe rules no changes there.   All you need is a flat surface and some holiday themed manipulatives for your 'x's and o's'.   This year we made a board out of 1 piece of paper or a cardboard box.  In the past we have used ribbon or yarn.  I cut out my own holiday shapes from some foam I already had in the house.   The kids love playing this game with daddy!  Our Elf on the Shelf also played this game with some stuffed friends :) Merry Christmas!  Thank you for reading liking, and sharing!

W is for Whale

Then we had another snow day.  Regardless, I had full intentions of doing preschool today but Little Dragon did not show up until lunch time.  This put a big hold on our schedule. Because of the above reasons I am posting about 1 day of lessons and a day activity that we did today. Bible Our story this week is Jonah and the Whale-perfect for water! I love this story and the lessons it teaches. We talked about obedience and trust after the story.  Also God's forgiveness. Bible Verse:  Our God is slow to ange...

Shamrocks and Fruitloops

Our St. Patrick's Day Activites A close family member had a double mastectomy on Friday so everyone in the family is doing what they can to help out.  My duty today was babysitting. Once I knew I would have the kids' cousins over on St. Patrick's day I started planning.  Oh my were we going to have fun! (Spencer was not over for the festivities because it was not my weekend :(, although tomorrow he will get a chance to participate in the activities.) I gave the girls and Isaiah until lunch time to play dress up or whatever it is they play *chuckle* while I got the activities ready. Graphing Fruitloops I poured about half a cup of Fruitloops into the cups and gave the girls paper to sort/graph the colors they had in their cups.  Isaiah sorted his colors but lost interest in the activity quickly and made his way over to the dinosaurs.    Emma started by dumping all the Fruitloops out ...
