Stuffed Animal Doctor

At the beginning of our Animal Antics week I asked The Dragons to collect all of their 'animal' stuffed toys. These are usually kept up in their room so The Dragons enjoyed throwing the animals to the bottom of the stairs to transfer them from level to level. We didn't do the planned activity until later in the week because I wanted The Dragons to have plenty of free play with their animals first. The Dragons ended up playing with animals all week during their other play in things like:  house-stuffed animal pets barbies-as pets or magical creatures hide and seek-hiding the animals then remembering where they put them school-teaching the stuffed animals hero's-saving the animals from tragedy.  For the planned activity I asked The Dragons to line up all of the animals.   We spent some time observing the animals.  Each Dragon had a turn to identify the animal, name it if they pleased, and say if it was a boy or girl.  This was interest...

Dinosaur Field Trip

Since my last post I have been feeling very discouraged and have had a hard time finding the motivation to blog or conduct preschool. Monday Athena's bio mom decided she wanted to pick up Athena so we did not do preschool. Spencer putting a bandaid on his baby.  Filling up the medicine cup   A couple broke their arms and legs.  Thank you Doctor Spencer and Doctor Athena for fixing all the patients! :) I also have 'the sickness' again...ugh >:(  which has not helped my motivation at all.  I noticed that my anxiety is more frequent now and I am having a hard time pin pointing what is bothering me.   I was at the car wash and felt very scared while in the car.  This has never happe...

The Little Dragons Roar

The day started off a little icky. I woke up shaky from bad dreams and slightly dehydrated. I gulped down 1/2 a liter of water and felt really tired which was probably due to the dehydration.  Athena asked to watch Tangled so I put it on and lay down. When her movie was over I brewed myself some coffee.  While waiting for my coffee I was trying to get preschool set up and asked Athena to clean up her toys, she told me no so I sent her to the corner. She started screaming and refused to stand there. I reminded her that she has the choice of making a good and a bad decision and we briefly went over the consequences of both decisions. Crying still. This went on for a good amount of time.  So I got myself dressed and had preschool all set up by the time it was over. We prayed together and talked about Adam and Eve again, talking more about lies and blame then the previous times. Then we worked on fine  motor skills matching stickers...
