Big Energy-Little Learners...Can I do it all?

This post goes with our Sh sound unit Little Dragon loves sharks. He hasn't always, it is kind of a new phase.  We started our Sh sound unit before I went on a weekend trip to visit my sister. While I was away I found this awesome toy shark and knew Little Dragon would love it.  Of course when he opened it up he was thrilled and asked to play with it in a sensory bin right away! I am sure I could have made a more detailed sensory bin for sharks but he was anxious to get the shark in the water.  I grabbed the bin and Little Dragon grabbed his killer whale, dolphin, and pirate ship We filled the bin up with water together then it was ready Little Dragon put all of his toys in the bin and started attacking with his shark!  We played together for awhile his shark chasing the dolphin and eating him up.  Then little Dragon played and played in the bin until it was time for lunch.  Since out first b...

I wanted to write a post about our vacation. There was not a whole lot of time to sit down and do learning activities but my sister and I still did our best to educate our kids in all the fun things we did on vacation. Water Play! While me and mommy #2 were getting ready to go shopping we needed something to busy the kids.  My sister pulls out this tub of our younger brothers old rubber duck collection and set the kids at a table.  They were enjoying themselves just fine until they wanted each others ducks. >:/ To solve this problem I figured we could give them each their own container to play with and why not add water?   It worked!  They enjoyed having their own space to play.  They older two still played pretend together and traded ducks with good manners.  This idea was mostly to help the younger kids.  Dinosaur Park At such a fun age all of the kids love dinosaurs and were stoked to go to the dinosaur park.  We ...
